Shooting at DTLA Grand Central Market, 1 Dead
Los Angeles Police Department is investigating after a male was shot and killed outside the Grand Central Market at 3:56 pm, Saturday, The shooting took place outside the Grand Central Market parking structure, located at the intersection of Hill & 3rd in Downtown Los Angeles.
The individual who was shot was transported in critical condition according to an LAPD officer on-scene, and later was pronounced dead at the hospital. In footage attained via 3rd parties, the patient can be seen lying on the sidewalk with what appears to be bleeding from a bullet wound, while holding a knife in hand.
The shooting that occurred at a busy intersection during broad daylight left dozens of witnesses, many of who fled or took cover until the active shooter incident was over.
LAPD briefly detained two individuals in association with the shooting investigation but released them shortly after. LAPD setup a perimeter around the parking garage and reported that they found a trail of blood leading to the 3rd floor, from an apparent stab wound, but the suspect has not yet been found.
