LAFD firefighters rescue woman trapped in 10-foot construction shaft
One hospitalized after being trapped in open construction shaft.
An approximately 25yo female fell down an approximately 10′ cement-lined construction shaft Saturday afternoon. Firefighters, paramedics and heavy rescue crews were dispatched at 3:13PM to a Trench Rescue at 931 N EVERETT ST, LOS ANGELES, CA.
Responders worked to evaluate injuries, determining the safest method of bringing her back to the surface. LAFD Spokesperson Margaret Stewart reports that the injuries appear to be non-life threatening and the patient is being transferred to the local hospital at this time.
